A Russian missile strike left at least four people dead this Monday (29) in the Ukrainian city of Odessa, on the Black Sea, said regional governor Oleg Kiper. The attack damaged homes and civilian infrastructure, including the Gothic-style building known as “Harry Potter Castle.” The building, which is part of the Odessa Law Academy and received its nickname because it is very similar to the Hogwarts Castle portrayed in the films, was seen on fire.

“Three women and one man died. According to an updated report, 28 people were injured, including two children and a pregnant woman”, declared Oleg Kiper on Telegram. In the previous report, the governor had reported two deaths and 17 injured.

Odessa, a port in southwestern Ukraine, is vital for exports and a regular target of missile and drone strikes. (AFP)
