Londrina City Hall opens tender to renovate square with sand volleyball and beach tennis

The City of Londrina is conducting a public competition for the revitalization of Praça do Jardim Piza, located at the intersection of Veneza, Turin and Verona streets. Among other improvements, the project foresees the installation of public equipment such as a sand volleyball and beach tennis court, multi-sports court, bocce court, outdoor gym and playground.

The bid is included in Lot 1 of Public Competition 0006/2024, from the Municipal Public Management Secretariat, and has a maximum value of R$ 2,549,730.69. The receipt and opening of envelopes will take place this Wednesday (3), at 1 pm, through the Federal Government Purchasing Portal (click here).

The renovation includes the installation of a new concrete post enclosure and galvanized wire mesh for the existing football field. There will also be bleachers for seated audiences, with handrails at two heights, protective guardrails and tactile warning signs at the beginning and end of the stairs.

The initiative also includes the installation of urban furniture such as trash cans, games tables and benches, as well as the creation of spaces for permanence, coexistence and contemplation. Landscaping will be carried out in the areas of embankments and gardens, planting of grass, shrubs and afforestation projects, in addition to reconstruction of the walkway around the lot.

The municipal secretary of Planning, Budget and Technology, Marcelo Canhada, highlighted that it is a large square, which receives many families and elderly people, and serves as an entertainment, sports and leisure center for many people in the Piza region. “This place houses a very traditional football field in the city, and next to it there is a school. The population has been waiting for this revitalization for decades and we will finally be able to bid for the work and deliver it this year,” he said.

Canhada also informed that the appeal comes from a parliamentary amendment by federal deputy Luísa Canziani. “The project was carried out by the Municipal Department of Works and Paving, with the participation of the residents’ association; It was very beautiful and has lots of details. The idea is to transform the place into another postcard of Londrina”, she detailed.

The deadline for performing the services will be 180 calendar days, counting from the receipt of the service order by the contracted company.
