The Vila Belmiro club did not specify the dates of the installments, but guaranteed that it will pay off the entire amount by June 25th of this year. The agreement was sealed by president Marcelo Teixeira in a virtual meeting with Krasnodar’s board of directors.

Negotiations took days. At first, the Russians said they would only accept payment in cash. In a second moment, they asked for defender Joaquim in exchange for the debt, but Santos did not accept. Peixe even offered other names from their squad, but there was no agreement.

To close the negotiation, the Santos board presented guarantees for contracts to be signed with sponsors and broadcast rights funds that had not yet been received.

According to FIFA rules, signing the agreement is enough for the transfer ban to be overturned. Therefore, from the next few days, when the document is filed, Peixe will be able to make moves in the market and sign new players.
