Gustavo Brasileiro reveals his heartache with his uncle Silas in a leaked audio episode: ‘I felt sorry’

During an event at Patrocínio City Hall last week, former vice-mayor Gustavo Brasileiro commented, when questioned by reporter Jânio Luiz, from Módulo FM, about an audio from his uncle, the former mayor of Patrocínio and former federal deputy Silas Brasileiro, currently president of the National Coffee Council (CNC), which was recently leaked on social media.

“I felt sorry. That’s the truth. I think this is not the attitude we expect from someone who was mayor, was a federal deputy, and is currently on the National Coffee Council. I think we need to respect divergent positions. I have the right to think differently, as long as it is well-founded. My video was simply talking about the incompetence of the president of CAP (Ronaldo Correia). The results are there”, said Gustavo.

“CAP was relegated without playing the last few games, they couldn’t even settle the arbitrations. This shows incompetence, not regarding his person, I didn’t go into the personal issue. The audio that circulated, questioning and talking about this tragic episode that we experienced here in the city of Patrocínio, is not made. We need to have respect for families, respect for Chiquita, Marcão, Cássio and family respect. You will never see me insult or belittle my uncle, because he is my father’s blood brother, and I need to respect him. And as a nephew, I also expect this same respect, that he can reflect that the moment is different. The moment is not one of aggression, it is not one of brutality. The moment is one of solidarity and mutual support”, he concludes.

The report from FM module contacted Silas Brasileiro’s advisors, but he declined to comment on his nephew’s statements.
