Sesi Franca wins and continues chasing Fla at the top of the NBB

Sesi Franca continues to fight closely with Flamengo for the lead in the NBB (New Basquete Brasil) regular season. This Monday (1st), the current champions beat São José at Ginásio Pedrocão by 97 to 87. The result leaves the team glued to the cariocas with three rounds remaining until the end of the first phase.

With the triumph, Sesi Franca added its fourth consecutive victory in the NBB. The current champions’ last defeat came on March 21st in a direct confrontation against Flamengo. By the way, the two teams are tied in the number of victories, with 28 each. However, the Cariocas prevail and take the lead based on the tiebreaker criteria.

Lucas Dias and Márcio stood out as the game’s top scorers with 24 to 23 points, respectively. Still for Franca, Scala also had an excellent performance and distributed 12 assists in the game. On the São José side, Chourio scored 20 points and finished as the team’s top scorer.


Sesi Franca’s next commitment for the NBB takes place this Wednesday (3), when the team hosts Mogi at Ginásio Pedrocão. Meanwhile, he enters the court on the same day to face Bauru Basket in the Pressure Cooker.
