Athletico in winning the 2021 South American Championship

O Athletico begins another participation in South American Cup this Tuesday (20), in front of the Sportivo Ameliano, at 9:30 pm, at the Nueva Olla Stadium, in Asunción, Paraguay. It is Furacão’s ninth participation in the tournament organized by Conmebol, where it has already been champion twice, in 2018 and 2021.

In the midst of titles, Rubro-Negro will complete 50 games in the history of the competition. In total, the team from Paraná has accumulated 28 wins, eight draws and 13 defeats in the tournament, with 71 goals scored and 42 conceded. In addition to the campaigns that resulted in the cup, Athletico had already played in the tournament in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2015.

Furacão is in Group E, alongside Danubio (Uruguay), Rayo Zuliano (Venezuela) and Sportivo Ameliano (Paraguay).
