The clash is scheduled for Tuesday (2), at 9:30 pm, at the Nueva Olla Stadium, at Cerro Porteño, in Asunción.

“What I remember is that the field was good. They played a knockout with Olimpia, which is a more traditional team, and won 2-0. It’s not a well-known team, but on the field it’s the game of their lives. It’s another game that we will definitely have difficulties with”, declared Cuca.

The athletic coach, who spared some athletes in the final against Maringá, also said that he can give opportunities to foreigners who have been left out of Paranaense’s matches, such as defender Mateo Gamarra and attackers Romeo Benítez, Cuello and Di Yorio.

“Today I didn’t spare. I came in with the best team I had. But Tuesday is a different game. I have four foreigners there that I can’t take. Trying to get the result once again, always playing away from home is more difficult”, he projected.

After the 1-0 victory over Dogão, Athletico returned to Curitiba. The trip to Paraguay only takes place on Monday (1st). The team will have a marathon of games this April with games “Wednesday and Sunday”.

Cuca evaluates Athletico’s simple victory in the Paranaense final

After the debut duel in Sula, Furacão will play the final in search of Paranaense’s second championship against Maringá on Saturday (6), at 5pm, at Ligga Arena. Cuca analyzed the result of the first game in Cidade Canção.

“It was a close match. It’s not an ordinary game. It’s a final and it’s rare to see an open game, with many chances to score, because everything you’ve done so far in the competition is worth it. Maringá hadn’t lost at home in a long time and we knew the difficulty would exist”, he began.

“It wasn’t a great game in terms of spectacle, but a great game in terms of the players’ dedication. Sometimes, the game asks you for some actions that are different from technique, but from fighting, commitment, reducing space, like we had today and we did very well”, he concluded.
