This Thursday (28) the Flamengo published its Financial Statement for 2023 and, for the third consecutive year, raised more than R$ 1 billion. The document released also included a considerable reduction in the club’s debt.
Rubro-Negro reported a gross income of R$ 1.374 billionwhich sets yet another record in terms of cariocas, who in 2022 had R$ 1.177 billion.
In relation to the club’s debt, the Balance Sheet showed a reduction of 79% in relation to 2022. This is because it fell from R$227 million for R$48 millionthat is, a drop in R$ 179 million.
The Cariocas still ended the year with a surplus in the region of R$320 million. The only number lower than 2022 referred to recurring revenue, which in 2023 was R$ 1.071 billion against R$ 1.091 billion in the year before last.
Another important point is in relation to the sale of athletes. In 2023 there were R$303 million collected. More than double the number recorded in 2022: R$ 140 million.
