Corinthians x Palmeiras has court invasion and fight in the final for under-18 futsal

A widespread fight ended the match that decided the Under-18 Metropolitan Futsal title between Palmeiras and Corinthians, this Saturday morning, at the Presidente Ciro II gym, in São Paulo.

With 28 seconds left in the match, players from Palmeiras and Corinthians started chaos on the court, which was worsened by the invasion of fans present in the gym’s stands. Verdão won 5-2 and ended up taking the title.

In a published video (look above) on the social networks by a fan present in the gym, it is possible to see aggression between players, fans and professionals involved in organizing the tournament. A team that was broadcasting the match live on a video platform had to end the broadcast due to the tense atmosphere there.

ge contacted Palmeiras, Corinthians and the São Paulo Indoor Football Federation (FPFS), organizer of the competition, but none of the parties involved returned until the publication of this report, which will be updated in case of a response.

The match valid for the Metropolitano under-18 final was the first of four tournament decisions that would be held this Saturday at the Presidente Ciro II gymnasium.

Next, Corinthians would compete in the under-12 category decision against Ypiranga, and in the duels for the under-14 and under-16 titles, Palmeiras would play against Ypiranga and Santo André, respectively. The games were cancelled.
