Majority member of Cruzeiro’s Sociedade Anônima do Futebol (SAF), Ronaldo Nazário followed another training session of the celestial team at Toca da Raposa 2, in Belo Horizonte, this Wednesday (27/3). After the activity, the businessman spoke to the players on the field.
Amid the chat with the athletes, Fenômeno took the opportunity to congratulate Marlon on his contract renewal. In a joking tone, the businessman said that “he’s bleeding until now”, in reference to the negotiations for the left-back’s stay.
“Congratulations on the renewal. I’m bleeding even now, but we’re happy (laughs),” she said.
Marlon renewed his contract with Cruzeiro last Wednesday (20/3) after several rounds of negotiations between the athlete’s board and staff. The new contract was signed until December 2026. During negotiations, the full-back had a considerable salary increase.
The ‘boss’ visit was recorded by the star club itself on social media.
Ronaldo in Belo Horizonte
Ronaldo has been in Belo Horizonte since Monday (25/3). He traveled to the capital of Minas Gerais to receive an honor from the Legislative Assembly of Minas Gerais (ALMG), on Wednesday night (27/3), at 7pm. The tribute was authored by 26 parliamentarians, who highlighted the former striker’s achievements in football as a determining factor.
The Phenomenon will receive the title of honorary citizen of Minas Gerais.
Created by Cruzeiro’s youth teams, Ronaldo played between 1993 and 1994 for Minas Gerais. Today, he owns 90% of the shares of SAF starred. His career as a celestial manager began in December 2021.
Cruise in Mineiro
Cruzeiro is preparing for the decision of the Campeonato Mineiro against Atlético. The first game is scheduled for this Saturday (30/3), at 4:30 pm, at Arena MRV, while the return leg will be on April 7th (Sunday), at 3:30 pm, at Mineirão.
Having finished the group stage with the best campaign among all competitors, Cruzeiro has an advantage in the State final. The celestial team can be champion with two draws or with a victory and defeat by the same goal difference.
