Although Red Bull Racing demonstrates a more peaceful atmosphere publicly, there is a lot of movement behind the scenes. For example, the employee who accused Christian Horner maintained her complaint and took it to other, now judicial, instances.

After the public dispute between Christian Horner and Helmut Marko, Red Bull chose to resolve internal issues away from the spotlight. However, according to former Formula 1 driver Christijan Albers, the drama in the team is far from over.

“This is not over and will continue throughout the year. The difference is that they agreed to make the situation less public,” Albers told the ‘De Telegraaf Formula 1’ podcast. The former driver suggests that most of the rumors and stories come from within the team itself.

“They realized that if they approached all their confidants in the paddock, the mess would leak out anyway, because everyone talks and that’s how the world of Formula 1 works. It’s a sea of piranhas with a few sharks swimming in the middle,” he added.

Another reason for the apparent calm at Red Bull is employees’ fears about what they do and say. “I think there is a lot of pressure on the team and everyone is afraid of what might be said and of being punished. They fear losing their jobs,” concluded Albers.
