Edson Barboza will face an Englishman who is undefeated in the UFC featherweight division

At 38 years old, Edson Barboza remains competitive in MMA and has a new and important commitment scheduled in UFC.

The Brazilian will lead the organization’s event scheduled to take place on May 18, in Las Vegas (USA), alongside the promising Lerone Murphy, undefeated in the sport, in a featherweight fight (66 kg). The information was released by reporter Laerte Viana.

For the fight, the veteran arrives motivated by two consecutive victories in the UFC. In his most recent fight, held in October, Edson fought against Sodiq Yusuff and won by unanimous decision.

Currently, the Brazilian is number 11 in the featherweight rankings. The 32-year-old Brit, debuted with the company in 2019, played six duels, won five and drew one. With such a record, Murphy finds himself in 14th place on the category leaderboard.

Edson Barboza, 38 years old, is an MMA veteran who continues to compete at a high level in the UFC. Currently, the Brazilian is in 11th place in the featherweight rankings.

Before working in the division, the striker stood out at lightweight (70 kg). In the organization since 2010, the professional competed in 29 fights, won 18 and lost 11 times.
