Jurgen Klopp and Mohamed Salah had a loud argument on the edge of the pitch this Saturday, during Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against West Ham in the 35th round of the English Championship.

The Egyptian striker was called upon by the coach to enter the game in the final minutes. About to step onto the pitch, Salah started arguing with Klopp. Tempers got hot, and Darwin Nuñez and other companions had to intervene.

The draw left Liverpool with 75 points in the table, remaining in third place with three rounds to go and practically taking the Reds out of the fight for the cup in Klopp’s final year – the German coach has already informed that he will not stay for next season. Arsenal leads the competition with 77 points, followed by Manchester City (76). Both are still playing in this round.

After the game, the two characters in the fight had different opinions. To TNT Sports, Klopp said that the matter “was resolved”. “My impression is that yes (it is resolved)”, said the coach. To ESPN, Salah gave another answer. “It’s going to catch fire today if I talk,” said the attacker.

Klopp still regretted the stumble, which should take Liverpool out of the title fight. “I am very disappointed (with the result). It was a tough game that ended a sequence of four matches in ten days. The players tried hard, but we conceded a goal out of nowhere”, he concluded.
