Today begins another period of intense instability with a lot of rain that will hit Porto Alegre and the metropolitan region. MetSul Meteorologia warns that accumulated precipitation will be very high until Monday, reaching more than 100 mm in several cities in the region, with some data indicating 150 mm to 200 mm.
This Friday, the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and the region will have a day of lots of clouds and rain at any time, but especially from afternoon to night. Rain, at times moderate to heavy, with occasional thunderstorms cannot be ruled out.
On Saturday, very unstable weather with precipitation for much of the day. It sometimes rains with moderate to heavy intensity with occasional thunderstorms. Periods of torrential rain may occur. The temperature remains mild with a minimum of around 17ºC and a maximum of around 20ºC.
On Sunday, the capital will have another day of intense instability. It rains throughout the day and there is a high risk of moments with moderate to heavy rain. Be aware of the risk of rain being very heavy or torrential at times. Chance of thunderstorms. The minimum is around 18ºC while the maximum does not exceed 20ºC or 21ºC.
Monday in Porto Alegre will still have rain. The front becomes cold with the advance of cold air from the south, maintaining instability. It rains and drizzles throughout the day. There may be moments of improvement. Minimum occurs at night, at the end of the day, around 14ºC or 15ºC. Maximum around 20ºC. The wind turns south in the second half of the day with a chance of gusts.
Finally, on Tuesday a mass of drier and colder air enters. The weather improves and the sun appears. It will be the first winter-like day of the year with low temperatures for most of the period. Minimum around 10ºC and maximum of 16ºC. Moderate south wind with a chance of gusts, which will raise the level of Guaíba.
