Fluminense arrived in Rio de Janeiro this Friday morning, hours after beating Colo-Colo 1-0, in Chile, in the fourth round of Group A of the Conmebol Libertadores. With three points under their belt and the isolated lead in the group, the delegation arrived around 7am.

Without the presence of fans, disembarkation was peaceful at Galeão airport. This was Flu’s last game away from home in the group stage.

For Conmebol Libertadores, Flu returns to the field next Thursday, May 16, to face Cerro Porteño in Rio de Janeiro. Before that, on Monday, Flu visits São Paulo, in the Brasileirão, at Morumbi, next Monday.

With the result in Santiago, Fluminense is the isolated leader of group A of the Conmebol Libertadores, with eight points. Cerro Porteño, the tricolor club’s next opponent, is in second place, with five points. Colo-Colo has four points in third place, and Alianza Lima is in last place, with three. Tricolor ends the group with two matches at home, against Cerro and Alianza.
