Roberto de Carvalho, widower of Rita Lee, used social media this Wednesday (8) to pay tribute to the singer and vent about her death. The artist died exactly 1 year ago, victim of lung cancer.
“Bleed my heart and then please calm me down. Bring back my soul. It alleviates this desire to leave. So much love cannot end in pain. I’m going to gather a lot of courage. For the last trip to you. See you forever, my love,” she wrote.
Considered the queen of national rock, Rita Lee died, aged 75, on April 8, 2023. Away from the stage and living in São Paulo, the musician had been fighting lung cancer since 2021.
The wake took place on May 10 last year, at the Ibirapuera Park Planetarium, in São Paulo. The singer’s fans were able to participate, considering that the funeral ceremony was open to the public.
