ASUS launches ROG Phone 8 line in Brazil; check the price

In an event held on Tuesday night, ASUS finally launched the ROG Phone 8 line in Brazil. This year’s devices feature the biggest design change in the line, leaving the flashy elements for a much more sober approach.

Still, in an attempt to serve the gaming public, these devices deliver the best in processing power. with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsetwhich can be lined up with up to 24 GB of RAM and 1 TB of internal storage.

The screen is a 6.78-inch AMOLED, which has LTPO technology for a refresh rate of up to 165 Hz, while peak brightness can reach 2,500 nits with a touch response rate of 720 Hz.

In the camera department, the ASUS ROG Phone 8 Pro and 8 Pro Edition feature a 50 MP main camera, a 13 MP ultrawide sensor and a 32 MP telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom.

On the other hand, the selfie camera delivers 32 MP to guarantee good images everywhere.

In terms of connectivity, the smartphones support the 5G network, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.3 and NFC for contactless payments.

The ASUS ROG Phone 8 line also has IP68 certification against water and dust and a small rear screen, which can be customized via software.

The devices’ battery is 5,500 mAh, with 65W wired charging and support for wireless charging. Finally, Android 14 completes the set as the operating system and it also brings some AI-based features for games and images.

Some examples include Semantic Search, which can be used in the image gallery and allows you to intelligently search for photos to group them according to your preferences. AI even allows you to create your exclusive wallpaper, with the scenery, style and inspiration you want.
