Sandy announced on Tuesday night (8) that he will take a break from his concert schedule for an indefinite period of time. She also stated that all income acquired in her last two presentations will be fully donated to Rio Grande do Sul.

“I’m coming here to join these thousands, or millions, of hearts squeezed with so much sadness, with all this devastation in Rio Grande do Sul. I’ve already helped several times, I’ve already made some donations, I’ve also shared many ways to help, but I felt that I could do more and that I needed to do more”, he said in a video published on his Instagram profile.

“And then, I was about to announce two concert dates, because I wanted to announce that I’m going to take a break, a hiatus from the stage, but I wanted to say a better goodbye to my audience, I wanted to be close, I wanted to give a big hug sound in my audience”, he said.

“And so, I decided to give new meaning to this moment, so I’m going to donate all the income we earn from ticket sales for the two shows to this cause in Rio Grande do Sul. We’re looking with my team at how to do it effectively.”

In the caption, she wrote that the indefinite break is due to her concert schedule and that she will not “disappear completely”.

The shows are scheduled for June 15th and 16th, at Espaço Unimed, in São Paulo. Tickets go on sale on May 10th.

“If you can’t go to the show, look for other ways to help, to donate, okay? And in advance, I thank each and every one of you. Feel my hug! ♥️”, he wrote in the caption of the video.
