Apple may make a small change to its smartphone line with the launch of the iPhone 17 family. According to analyst Jeff Pu, the 2025 devices should deliver an updated design, an even smaller dynamic island and also a new smartphone model.
For him, Apple should stop selling the iPhone 17 Plus to sell the iPhone 17 Slim variant, which will still be larger than the standard iPhone 17.
This model’s screen will be 6.6 inches, while the iPhone 17 will have a 6.1-inch OLED panel. The iPhone 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max models measure 6.3 and 6.9 inches, respectively.
The main highlight of the iPhone 17 Slim will be its “more premium” and extremely thin aluminum body, attracting consumers who like this type of design.
In terms of performance, the iPhone 17 and 17 Slim models should come out of the box with an A18 or A19 chipset. The Pro versions should get the new Apple A19 Pro. Check out the RAM options:
- iPhone 17 – 8GB
- iPhone 17 Slim – 8GB
- iPhone 17 Pro – 12GB
- iPhone 17 Pro Max – 12GB
All four 2025 iPhones will still have a 24 MP front camera. In other words, a considerable upgrade compared to the 12 MP currently available.
For now, Apple is not commenting on the matter. Therefore, everything should be considered as just another market rumor.
