Rain is forecast for the extreme south of Rio Grande do Sul

The weather forecast in Rio Grande do Sul this Sunday is isolated rains and heat in the state, according to Climatempo. The storms that hit the state since Monday (29) caused 75 deaths and left more than 100 missing.

Rain showers will include lightning and occasional gusts of wind throughout RS and the Santa Catarina mountains. The volume will be smaller and the rain will be less lasting.

Even with a lower volume of rain, the showers can worsen the situation in already fragile municipalities.

The spokesperson also added that a temperature drop on Wednesday (8): “Instability returns to the entire Rio Grande do Sul, and we can have temperatures of up to 10ºC, which could worsen the situation for people who are in need of rescue.”
