In a statement sent to the STF this Friday (26), the platform also informed that it had ordered the blocking of the Spaces tool for Brazilian users, in order to guarantee the ban determined by the Court.

The sending of X’s explanations to the Supreme Court comes after the Federal Police stated that the platform has maintained account blocks, but allowed the use of the resource to carry out lives, which allows suspended profiles to interact with other users.

The PF also pointed out that there was a reorganization of the supposed digital militia investigated by the Supreme Court to act internationally and try to escape Brazilian justice, with “the posts made outside the country, inciting their followers and attacking the constituted powers (STF, TSE and Senate) demonstrate that those under investigation never stopped their criminal conduct”.

According to X, the PF report dealt with specific cases and reveals that those investigated act to circumvent the court order.

“Absolutely exceptional cases in which users who had their accounts blocked sought to use features of platform applied by X Operators”, states the platform.

The social network’s lawyers also stated that “the X Operators, as soon as they were aware of the articulated use of the Spaces functionality by the investigated users, acted promptly to block the possibility of their access”.

“In addition, according to information obtained from the X Operators, blocking of the “Spaces” functionality was implemented for Brazilian users when the blocked users are speaking”, concludes the platform’s defense.
