The president of Chamber of Deputies, Arthur Lira (PP-AL), called the House Legislative Police to denounce digital influencer Felipe Neto. In the document, signed on Tuesday 23rd, the parliamentarian from Alagoas states that he was the target of insults from the PT YouTuber.

Arthur Lira’s complaint came hours after Felipe Neto called him “excremental” during the symposium “Regulation of digital platforms — The urgency of an agenda essential to democracy”.

The president of the Chamber claims that this insult could constitute a crime against honor. He called the Chamber’s Legislative Police because Felipe Neto’s action took place on the House’s premises. “I determine the adoption of the appropriate measures, with regard to the competence of this Legislative Police”, highlighted Arthur Lira, in the complaint.

Felipe Neto’s statement about Arthur Lira

In this ocasion, Felipe Neto spoke as a guest at the symposium. “We need to get the people on our side,” said the influencer. “They continue to believe in censorship. We need to talk more, as the Marco Civil da Internet brilliantly did. And it is possible that we will change the perception of Bill 2630, which unfortunately was crushed by the ‘excremental’ Arthur Lira.”

The term “excrementíssimo” is a way of replacing the word “excelentíssimo”, a pronoun used by parliamentarians when directing the word to the president of the Chamber. On that occasion, Felipe Neto made an allusion to the word “excrement”, which could refer to some despicable person.
