Amid news about the slow negotiations for the release of Israelis taken hostage by the Hamas group on October 7 and rumors that most of them were already dead, the Palestinian group today released on social media a video of one of the victims, in a kind of “proof of life”.

According to the newspaper The Times of Israel, is Israeli-American Hersh Goldberg-Polin, 23 years old. In the nearly three-minute long video, Goldberg-Polin, who is seen missing one of his hands, identifies himself and asks the Israeli government to return him home.

He criticizes the delay in negotiations for the release of the hostages.

The video is not dated, but Goldberg-Polin says he was held captive for “almost 200 days,” indicating it was filmed recently.

Goldberg-Polin was kidnapped from the Supernova rave near Re’im on the morning of October 7.

Videos of the Hamas raid in October showed that Goldberg-Polin’s arm was torn off from the elbow down as Hamas terrorists threw grenades into a shelter where he and others trying to escape the group were hiding.

Continues after advertising

The CNN TV network recalls that, of the 129 hostages still held in Gaza, the Israeli government believes that 33 are dead.
