One military police officer was murdered shooting, on the morning of this Wednesday (3), in the neighborhood Santa Rosa Park, in Fortaleza, while riding a motorcycle to work. Preliminary information indicates that the soldier reacted to the approach and was hit in the femoral vein.

O Northeast Diary found that the case happened around 5:30 am, at the intersection between Tulipa Negra and Francisco Batista da Silva streets, and the victim was said to be in civilian clothes.

Until the last update of this article, there were no details of the case, only that the criminals did not take the victim’s belongings, identified as Carlos Antônio de Sousa, 45, third sergeant of the Dog Policing Company (CPCães) of the Shock Police Battalion (BPChoque) of the Military Police. The soldier’s weapon was found next to the body.

The region was isolated and police were reinforced. Information about the wake and burial has not yet been released.

Investigation

The Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense (SSPDS) was contacted by the report to provide more information about the case. In a statement, the Military Police have already mourned the officer’s death, expressed solidarity with “the pain of family and friends” and made the institution’s apparatus available.
