The former player’s defense Robinho entered this Tuesday (02), with a new request for habeas corpus in the Federal Supreme Court (STF). According to lawyers, he must await the trial of the appeal filed to annul the decision of the Supreme Court of Justice (STJ). “The rule does not authorize the transfer of the execution of the sentence, only dealing with the possibility of the national being tried in his country of origin, in honor of the principle of extraterritoriality of criminal law”, argues the defense.

Last month, before the former player was arrested, the Supreme Court minister, Luiz Fux, denied habeas corpus filed by the defense. Imprisoned in the Tremembé penitentiary, in the interior of São Paulo. Robinho left isolation on Monday (1) and started sharing a cell with another inmate. He is in a common cell, which measures 2×4 meters, and will have contact with other prisoners and will even have sunbathing, workshops and even playing football.
