After leaving his fans surprised with the news about his new era, Camila Cabello finally released his newest single, I LUV ITin partnership with rapper Playboi Carti this Wednesday (27). The song is the first track released from his upcoming album, C, XOXO (which has not yet received a release date), and shows the singer throwing herself into an aspect not yet explored in her other works: hyperpop, in the greatest style Charli XCX.
The new single was written by Camila and created alongside the executive producer El Guinchoknown for his work with Rosalia It is Billie Eilishand the co-producer jasper harris. The track arrived accompanied by an agitated and adrenaline-filled music video. With many surreal scenes, Camila is shot with an arrow, climbs a tree, throws herself on top of a car and shoots her own bed with an invisible gun. Chaos!
Speaking about the new song, Camila explained in a press release: “Certain things about the human condition make me feel like I’m in outer space. The very rare times I’ve had incredible chemistry with someone is one of them. Part of that cocktail is also the emotional drama between you and the person, the chaos, the butterflies, the nerves and the passion. It’s unsustainable, it’s not peaceful, and it’s exhausting, but on the other hand… I LOVE IT.”

Camila has been using social media to give some clues about her next album. The singer posted a video having fun in a moving car to the sound of her first single, went to a basketball game in Miami Heat with a t-shirt with the song title and has served a lot of publicity to their fans.

Many people have even theorized that Selena Gomez it would be one of the album’s collaborations after the two published photos together in a studio in January this year. The information has not yet been confirmed but we already know that this is a reflective album for Cabello.
In an interview for the podcast Call Her Daddythe singer explained the factors that influenced her creative process for the project that succeeds the Family, released in 2022. “I feel like this album is me ‘living my questions’, sitting in the uncomfortable, knowing that there won’t be a correct answer…. The writing process started with me sitting alone and returning to the passion of composing, freaking out like a nerd about references, artists and poems.”
