The use of the figure of the sleep paralysis monster, threatening Miles and then pressing on his chest, is a clear allusion to the anxiety suffered by the teenager, who tries to somehow deal alone with the whole truckload of problems that fell on his head in one small space of time. Unfortunately, this was not addressed in the film, which could have given even more depth to the character and his sense of heroism.

The short film had its premiere during the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, on June 12, 2023, a few days after the premiere of Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
