documentary remembers construction in 75 days

-

Created with the purpose of providing a leisure space without losing the connection with the surrounding nature, Ópera de Arame was inaugurated in March 1992 and, today, is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the capital of Paraná, with capacity for more than 1,500 spectators. .

To celebrate 32 years of history, DC Set Group, the responsible concessionaire, produced a special documentary to bring the entire history of the monument created by Domingos Bongestabs, the architect and creator of the iconic space, which receives around 348 thousand tourists per year. The work will be available in the visiting space until April 7, from 10 am to 5:30 pm.

In the audiovisual production of Parque das Pedreiras, Domingos portrays the entire construction process of the Opera, from the invitation of Jaime Lerner, then mayor of Curitiba, for the creation to the planning, the choice of the transparent ceiling and the tubular structure and other processes .

The most interesting thing is that all the work was carried out in just 75 days, a historic milestone with the challenge of preserving native vegetation and building a space that was capable of bringing in the unique landscape from outside. All of this without failing to express the pride that the architect feels in being part of this historic work of Brazilian modernist art.

The documentary is shown at Ópera de Arame until April 7, but an online version has also been made available. Look here:
