Empaer extensionists receive training on land credit

-

The Government of Paraíba and the Ministry of Agrarian Development and Family Agriculture (MDA) are presenting the new National Land Credit Program (PNCF) and offering training on the program to extension technicians from the Paraibana Research, Rural Extension and Land Regularization Company ( Empaer) and to companies inserting and analyzing Land Credit projects. The training, given by MDA consultants, began this Wednesday morning (8) and runs until Friday (10).

The PNCF enables access to land through financing with subsidized conditions for family farmers who meet the income, assets and other criteria previously defined in the regulations. The PNCF also makes it possible to finance technical assistance and basic investments for structuring the property.

At the opening of the event, the director of Agricultural Planning and Land Regularization at Empaer (Dipar), Francisco Elias Ramos, highlighted that the government’s goal is for everything to be done so that land credit is expanded, benefiting those who have land to produce “ more and better”. “The intention is also to encourage young people to become interested in rural activities”, he commented.

Also present at the opening of the event, the Executive Secretary of the State Secretariat for Family Agriculture and Semiarid Development (Seafds), Bivar Duda, highlighted the government’s effort to expand the land regularization program and access to credit for farming families.

The new National Land Credit Program (PNCF) was presented on Tuesday (7), at the headquarters of the Federation of Agricultural Workers of Paraíba (Fetag-PB), in João Pessoa, to representatives of social entities.

During the three days of training, MDA consultants, Fábio Nobre, Silvia Zanot and Remilson Nunes, must guide participants on the entire project preparation procedure.
