Presence of exhibitors keeps expectations high for Bahia Farm Show 2024

The president of Aiba and Bahia Farm Show, Odacil Ranzi, explains that for the third consecutive year, Bahian producers will reach an average soybean productivity of around 64 bags/hectare.

These results, according to Ranzi, are directly related to the producer’s optimism and the use of technology in the field.

“In addition to being in a blessed land, with a rain regime and flat lands favorable for agriculture, we also learned to use technology to our advantage, using the most modern equipment at all stages, from planting to harvesting, and that can be found at Bahia Farm, along with demonstrations and lectures for technology transfer”, comments Ranzi.

A machine that was launched in Europe, mainly in Germany, and in the United States, is already in Brazil in less than six months, and can be seen at the Bahia Farm Show, the entity said.

“The producer is very optimistic, believes in what he does and always has his foot on the accelerator. Expectations remain high for the fair, motivated by the development we have already achieved in the agricultural area of ​​Matopiba, where the majority of producers come from to close good deals in Luís Eduardo Magalhães”, explains Ranzi.

Movement of the local economy

In Luis Eduardo Magalhães, the occupancy rate of the hotel chain is already 100% in some establishments, reported Aiba.

Hotel manager, Luana Corsi, says there are no more vacancies at the establishment where she works.

“The hotel’s movement during the Bahia Farm Show period is exceptional, reaching 100% occupancy. We are already fully booked, we work at least a year in advance on reservations and customers tend to block the daily rates for next year even before the end of the fair”, she says, also highlighting temporary hiring to meet demands. extras during this period.

The great demand for companies that offer services during the Bahia Farm Show period demonstrates the market’s optimism to see the best in technology.

The executive transport sector is also an area that is seeing demand increase. Owner of a fleet for transporting people, Alcineli Lopes da Silva says that whoever plans to serve them wins.

“The flow of executive vehicles increases significantly before and during the fair. At the beginning of April, I closed three contracts. In another edition, it was necessary to hire fifteen more drivers and rent vehicles in Brasília to support the public, directors of major brands, financial directors, representatives of agribusiness groups and also the people who work at the fair.”, comments the owner.

Exhibitors range from traditional resellers of machines, vehicles and agricultural implements, to irrigation technologies, drones, software, planes and structures such as silos and warehouses.

Aiba also highlights the banks and public and private financial agents that will be at the fair to support producers with easy credit with interest and flexible installments.

Considered the largest agricultural and business technology fair in the North and Northeast and one of the largest in Brazil, the Bahia Farm Show comprises a total area of ​​242 thousand square meters, growth of 9% in relation to the previous edition, and has an infrastructure with 100% paved streets, some of which are covered, restaurants and snack bars, auditoriums, free parking, medical center, toilets and 24-hour security.

For this edition, the novelty is the expansion of the bathrooms and the parking area with capacity for a thousand spaces, in addition to the reinforcement for greater security of the electrical and communication networks.

According to Aiba, during the five days of the fair, beef and dairy cattle auctions, product demonstrations, lectures, workshops, training and space for the sale of family farming products will also be held.

The Bahia Farm Show 2024 is organized by the Association of Farmers and Irrigators of Bahia (Aiba), with the support of the Bahia Association of Cotton Producers (Abapa), the Foundation for Support for Research and Development of Western Bahia (Fundação Bahia) and the Association of Dealers and Representatives of Agricultural Machinery, Equipment and Implements in Western Bahia (Assomiba).
