The Transcol System will receive 50 new electric buses, important equipment for the modernization and sustainability of public transport. The announcement was made this Wednesday morning (08), during the presentation of the results of the Federal Government’s Growth Acceleration Program (PAC) – Cities Selections.

The State will also receive the necessary equipment to enable the operation of these cars, enabling the structuring of charging stations. For the acquisition of electric buses, Espírito Santo will earn R$150 million.

Furthermore, the Secretary of State for Mobility and Infrastructure, Fábio Damasceno, stated that the Transcol System is scheduled to receive another 150 new air-conditioned buses this year.

Fábio Damasceno highlighted the importance of this investment for the Transcol System. “We already have four electric buses in operation in the Metropolitan Region of Greater Vitória and we consider the experience to be very positive, from the operational point of view and also from the socio-environmental aspect. We requested resources from the Federal Government for the acquisition of new electric buses, seeking precisely the modernization and environmental sustainability”, highlighted Fábio Damasceno.
