Ciama celebrates 29 years dedicated to development projects for the State

An indirect administration body of the Government of Amazonas, the Amazonas State Development Company (Ciama) turns 29 years old, this Wednesday (08/05), carrying in its history the creation and implementation of large projects and programs in the capital and in the interior municipalities, guaranteeing a better quality of life for the population.

Among Ciama’s main actions, the company’s president, Aluizio Barbosa, highlights the support for local companies on the rise, the action in the challenge of the energy transition in the State; in the preparation of the Solid Waste Plan for all municipalities; in strengthening production chains according to local potential; and professional training of municipal employees.

Actions

“As determined by Governor Wilson Lima, we are working on these and other fronts of action, with excellent prospects for meeting public policies aimed at development. And with the certainty that this administration is being marked by the implementation of new and grandiose projects for Amazonas”, highlights Aluizio.

Currently, Ciama works hard to provide services free of charge to municipal governments, with the development of engineering projects, economic and social development, investment attraction and personnel training, in the most diverse areas of public service.

Brief history

Among many other road, port and airport infrastructure projects, Ciama was responsible for projects such as the recreation of the Amazon Development Superintendence (Sudam) and the reformulation of the Amazon Development Fund (FDA); the Geological Map of the State of Amazonas; the beginning of the Social and Environmental Program of the Manaus Igarapés (Prosamin); all stages of the Rio Negro Bridge; the Amadeu Teixeira Gymnasium; in addition to projects implemented in the interior, such as the Alto Solimões Regional Development Program, carried out in partnership with the World Bank (Bird), which changed the socioeconomic reality in that region, with integrated development, sanitation and health actions.
