The investigation into the shocking homicide case in Toledo, involving Taciana Ferreira da Silva, has just gained a new and dark chapter. The Toledo Civil Police revealed that Taciana is suspected of having murdered two other companions in the state of Pernambuco, as reported by delegate Fábio Freire this Wednesday morning (8).
According to authorities, Taciana is accused of having killed her first husband in order to obtain his inheritance and the pension to which he was entitled. The police chief confirmed that Taciana did in fact receive a pension, which reinforces the financial motivation behind the crime. Investigations into this case will be conducted by the Civil Police of Pernambuco.
Furthermore, there is a second companion of Taciana, José Sérgio, who has been missing since 2021. José’s daughter reported to the authorities that she lost contact with him that year, and in 2022 she questioned Taciana about his whereabouts, without obtaining satisfactory answers. The investigation gained more complexity when José’s daughter received an email from a person in Itapissuma, Pernambuco, indicating that José Sérgio was being mistreated by Taciana and asking for help to rescue him.
Delegate Fábio Freire explained that the Toledo Civil Police will continue to be responsible for investigating the death of Edivan da Silva, while information about the other two cases will be passed on to the Pernambuco authorities for investigation.
Taciana remains in custody in Corbélia, awaiting the development of legal procedures. The case continues to evolve, and new information may emerge as the investigation progresses.
