Sandy announces shows in favor of RS and says she will take a break from her career afterwards: ‘I wanted to say goodbye’ | Music

Sandy, 41 years old, announced this Tuesday (7) that he will perform two shows in aid of Rio Grande do Sul, which is in a state of calamity due to the floods. The singer also surprised fans by saying that after these performances she will be away from the stage indefinitely.

The presentations will take place on June 15th and 16th at Espaço Unimed, in São Paulo, and 100% of the proceeds will be donated to donations. Tickets go on sale next Friday (10).

“I’m coming here to join these thousands of hearts squeezed with so much sadness with all this devastation in Rio Grande do Sul. I’ve already helped several times, I’ve already made some donations, I’ve also shared many ways to help, but I felt like I I could do more and that I needed to do more”, said the singer.

“I was about to announce two concert dates, because I wanted to announce that I’m going to take a break, a hiatus from the stage, but I wanted to say a better goodbye to my audienceI wanted to be close, I wanted to give my audience a big sonorous hug and I decided to give a new meaning to this moment, so I’m going to donate all the income we earn from the sale of tickets for the two shows to this cause”, he added.

The daughter of Xororó He said that he has not yet defined how he will make his donation, but he is already studying how this will happen. “I’m looking with my team at the best way for this help to arrive effectively and we’re going to do that,” she said. “Together we are stronger, we know that.”

Away from the stage

The artist, who at the end of last year announced her separation from Lucas Lima after 24 years of marriage, also reassured her fans. “Calm down, I’m not going to disappear completely! It was just supposed to be a kind of ‘farewell show’ with my long-time fans. But my heart asked to give new meaning to this moment”, declared the sister of Junior Lima.
