Luisa Mell is in Canoas, one of the cities affected by the rain in Rio Grande do Sul (RS), to rescue animals. Excited, the activist reported that she had to leave with security guards, as they were robbing the boats.

“Guys, look how absurd… There are horses, dogs and we are afraid to go out because they are robbing the boats. I can’t believe so much evil. My God, now we’re going to have to get security guards. Man, it’s not possible to be human,” she said.

Soon after, Luisa explained that she needed to bring in an experienced team to be able to rescue large animals, such as horses. According to the activist, some people tried to rescue the animals, but they ended up dying.

“I hired experts and God willing we will make it. Guys, cheer on, okay? It’s one of the hardest things that has happened in my life,” said the activist.

In the city, Luisa asked residents who left their pets to enter their addresses in a box posted on her Instagram, as she would pick them up. “You have to send a photo, you can’t see the house numbers,” she said, while pointing to the properties all covered by water.

Regarding the robberies, the report from Itatiaia contacted the Civil Police of Rio Grande do Sul (RS) and is awaiting a response.
