ES Government – First months of 2024 maintain growth rate in business openings

The first four months of 2024 saw an increase in the number of company formations compared to 2023, a year in which there was a record number of openings. From January to April, 7,040 companies were registered with the Commercial Board of the State of Espírito Santo (Jucees) – 12.3% more than in 2023.

February and April, in turn, achieved even greater growth of 33.88% and 26.3%, respectively, compared to the same months last year. There were 1,328 constitutions in February 2024 and 1,907 in April.

Until April, of the registered companies, 4,188 companies were opened in less than 10 minutes, which is equivalent to 72.3% of the total that makes up the ranking of openings by the National Network for the Simplification of Registration and Legalization of Companies and Businesses (REDESIM).

As for legal nature, limited liability companies are in the lead with 12,095 registrations, followed by individual entrepreneurs, with 1,364, and closed corporations, with 533.

April

In relation to the activities that registered the most openings recently (data Of april) are combined office and administrative support services (190); Road freight transport (144); Professional and management development training (143); Retail trade of clothing and accessories (133); and Retail trade of beverages (119).

As for the response time in previous consultations, Vitória is the fastest, with 14min48sec, followed by Mucurici (20min01sec); Santa Maria de Jetibá (1h49min53sec); Cariacica (2h21min58sec); Vila Velha (2h26min43sec) and Santa Leopoldina (2h38min40sec).
