The Civil Police arrested a 36-year-old man, investigated for bodily harm against his ex-partner and rape of a vulnerable person against his ex-stepdaughter, this Monday (6). The arrest in the act occurred due to non-compliance with a protective measure, in Tibau do Sul, in Rio Grande do Norte.
The Civil Police searched the victims’ residence and found that the person being investigated was inside the house, against the will of the victims, failing to comply with a previously granted court decision. According to the police, on Sunday (5), in addition to non-compliance, the man allegedly injured his ex-partner last Sunday, throwing hot oil on her body, causing several injuries.
The arrest is part of “Operation Safe Paths”, launched nationwide to combat crimes of sexual exploitation against children and adolescents. Civil police officers from the 103rd Civil Police Station of Tibau do Sul, with support from the Department for the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (DPGV), carried out the arrest.
The suspect was taken to the Police Station and charged with a crime. He was sent to the prison system, where he will remain at the disposal of the Justice.
