Police show marijuana tablets found in passenger’s backpack in PA
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) seized 10.74 kg of marijuana which were inside the backpack of a passenger who was traveling on a bus, at kilometer 623 of BR-230, in Altamira, southeast of Pará.
The case was disclosed this Tuesday (7) by the corporation. According to agents, during inspections, the team approached the vehicle and began checking documents and luggage.
The police reported that A passenger drew attention due to her excessive nervousness when asked about their origin, destination and reason for the trip. She informed that she boarded in Santarém, in the west of the state and that she would go to Marabá, in the southeast of Pará.
According to the PRF, when inspecting the passenger’s luggage, the team noticed a strong odor characteristic of marijuana and then found eight tablets containing the illegal substance.
Questioned by the team, the passenger informed that she picked up the drug in Manaus (AM) and that the destination would be Marabá.
The agents reported that, after being arrested, the woman was taken to the Federal Police (PF) station in Altamira, for appropriate measures for drug trafficking.
