Inema holds event to integrate efforts to conserve wildlife in Bahia

The Institute of the Environment and Water Resources (Inema) will promote on the 9th and 10th of May, at the Anísio Teixeira Institute (IAT) in Salvador, the Wild Fauna Workshop: integrating forces for management and management. The event, aimed at public servants who work in the management and management of fauna in the state of Bahia, aims to integrate efforts and knowledge to improve wildlife conservation practices.

Topics on the management and handling of wildlife will be discussed, such as identifying the roles and responsibilities of the bodies involved, strategies for the conservation of threatened species and the promotion of environmental education. An overview of the institutions’ activities, the functioning of Wild Animal Screening Centers, Operations and Reporting Assistance, as well as the work of Inema’s Regional Units, among other topics, will also be presented.

In addition to employees from the Institute and the Secretariat for the Environment (Sema), the event will feature the participation of several institutions involved in wildlife issues, such as the Military Police, the Bahia Military Fire Department, Municipal Guards and the Public Ministry of Bahia. State of Bahia among others. Institutional presentations and working groups will be held, providing an environment for learning and exchanging experiences among participants.
