The motto for this discussion are these three launched by them in the last 4 years: “Wandering outdoors: experiencing the city with children”, by Leo Pessoa Vieira, and the comics “Roma Negra”, by Esteban Vivaldi and “Rocha Navegável” , signed in partnership by Fábio Costa and Igor Souza.
The panel intends to discuss aspects of Bahian and Salvadoran culture with the public from historical, fictional, ethnographic and literary perspectives.
“The city, a physical place. The city, the urban lives that unfold on the surface/atmosphere. Two distinct worlds. If we only look at one world we will have a partial view. Looking at both is observing the invisible city”, invite the authors.
Wandering through the free home, by Leandro Pessoa
Synopsis: “Through the feet and imagination, the work is a call to wander around Salvador. Through walking-with, the author shows us the power of children in inviting us to look at the first things, for the first time. The result of a completed doctorate, the book evokes the beauty of ordinary experiences in a pilgrim, phenomenological and existential approach. In these steps, walking is a practice and goal for the construction of an urban ethics of otherness”.
Black Rome, by Esteban Vivaldi
Synopsis: “Three intertwined stories meet in Salvador. Two teenagers from the countryside want to see the sea and begin a daring journey through the backlands. A painter in decadence tries to save himself through art. A sailor lands in the capital of Bahia, where he faces a dark past. Finally, Alexandrina, a typical girl from the outskirts, who manages as best she can, and who brings together all these stories, representing the City of Bahia, with its mysteries and new beginnings”.
