Fires during the early hours of this Tuesday (7) hit houses in the cities of Barreiras and also Luís Eduardo Magalhães, in western Bahia. In both cases, firefighters had to intervene to dissipate the flames. Initially, there were no signs of injuries in either incident.
Around 1 am, teams from the 17th Military Fire Brigade were called to respond to a fire in a residence located on Rua Fernando de Oliveira, in the Barreirinhas neighborhood, in Barreiras.

Using an ABT (Auto Pump Tank) truck, the garrison went to the location to fight the flames. When firefighters arrived on scene, they discovered a vehicle fire that had spread to the home’s garage and a bedroom in the home.
With this action, firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to neighboring homes. The fight began with the use of LGE (Foam Generating Liquid) on the burning vehicle and later in the garage area, allowing safe access to the first room. After completely extinguishing the flames, firefighters carried out a sweep of nearby homes, ensuring safety. However, there is no information on the cause of the fire.

At around 4:30 am this Tuesday morning (7), teams from the 2nd Military Fire Company were called to contain a fire in a residence at the intersection of Rua Marília Pêra and Rua Ibipitanga, in Luís Eduardo Magalhães.
Joint action between firefighters and the Electricity Company controlled the flames, with the shutdown of the power grid in the affected area. The residence, which also functioned as a factory and bed repair site, was at risk of spreading the fire to neighboring homes.
Despite the quick intervention, there is no precise information about the origin of the fire. The property owner was present at the time of the incident, however, she did not elaborate on the circumstances that started the flames.
