Instituto Natureza do Tocantins carries out a technical visit to learn about the management of IMA in Santa Catarina

The Environmental Institute of Santa Catarina (IMA) receives, this week, a visit from the technical delegation of the Nature Institute of Tocantins (Naturatins) who are in Santa Catarina to learn about the good practices carried out by the IMA and understand how the procedures, legislation and Systems used by the Santa Catarina environmental agency work in practice.

In addition to the presentations given by the technical staff at the IMA headquarters, which included presentations of the technological systems used in the management of demands involving environmental inspection and licensing, the group also checked out how important programs such as the Santa Catarina State Parks Concession Program work. Catherine; Partnership Program with the Private Initiative; Volunteer Program in Conservation Units; Action Plans for the Conservation of Endangered Species; State Invasive Alien Species Program; Penso Program, Logo Destino among other works developed at IMA.

“Receiving a visit from an organization like Naturatins is an honor for us at IMA. It means having our work recognized by another state and also an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices in favor of environmental conservation”, highlighted the president of IMA, Sheila Meirelles, thanking the support of the state governor, Jorginho Mello and the public servants. of IMA, who spare no effort to make the Institute a body of excellence in contributing to the environmental, social, economic and sustainable development of the State.

A visit to the Rio Vermelho State Park, managed by IMA, was also part of the delegation’s itinerary. There, the group learned about the facilities of the Santa Catarina Wild Animal Screening Center (Ceta) and the technical-administrative procedures of the Conservation Unit.

“Learning about the experiences and challenges faced by the IMA of Santa Catarina to implement well-developed public policies was a very positive experience for our entire team. This synergy and exchange of information between states is very important, as it is an opportunity to evaluate what we can use and take to our state, and also, what we can leave behind as a contribution, always with the aim of improving the environment that belongs to the whole of Brazil. ”, emphasized the president of Naturatins, Renato Jayme da Silva.
