The Court of Justice of Minas Gerais (TJMG) announced that it will donate R$ 10 million to the Civil Defense of Rio Grande do Sul. The resource comes from the remaining balance of the extinct Regional Account for the Allocation of Pecuniary Benefits of the Judiciary of Minas Gerais.
The donation was approved by the National Justice Council on Saturday (4). In the decision, the national inspector of justice, minister Luis Felipe Salomão, highlighted that the resources must be used in “actions to assist victims of climate events that occurred from April 24, 2024 in the municipalities of the state of Rio Grande do Sul in that the situation of public calamity will be recognized”.
