Driver is caught zigzagging on Alagoas highway

A driver was caught on Sunday night (5) making risky maneuvers on the BR-316, going down the Catolé slope, in Satuba, metropolitan region of Maceió. A man, who was in a car right behind, recorded the zigzag on the track and then caught the accident caused by the driver. (see video above). Two people were injured.

The vehicle was going down the hill and the driver almost missed hitting the shoulder protection. Soon after, the car collides head-on with another vehicle traveling in the opposite direction. Both vehicles were practically destroyed.

Teams from the Fire Department and the Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu) were called to help the victims, who were taken to the State General Hospital (HGE).

The driver who was driving in a risky manner was rescued with facial injuries. He was awake at the time of rescue. According to rescuers, he showed signs of having drunk alcohol. The Federal Highway Police (PRF) reported that the drunkenness test was not carried out because upon arriving at the scene, the man had already been taken to the hospital.

The other driver was rescued by firefighters. He is 39 years old and was disoriented when the military provided assistance. He had injuries to his legs, face and had an injury to his shoulder.
