The Health Department of the Federal District (SES-DF) released, this Monday (6/5), the bulletin of cases and deaths due to dengue in the Federal District. According to the folder, 308 people died from the disease between December 31 of last year and April 27, 2024.
The numbers are contained in the epidemiological bulletin. The data updated by the department mentions that the federal capital reached 245,065 probable cases of the disease. Of these, 98% are residents of the federal capital, while the rest are residents of other states, such as Goiás, Minas Gerais and São Paulo.
Ceilândia has the highest number of cases since the beginning of the year, with 30,950, followed by Samambaia (15,203), Santa Maria (14,085), Taguatinga (11,583) and Gama (9,568). Brazlândia continues to be the administrative region with the highest incidence rate, with 13,984.07 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants.
Profile of victims
The majority of deaths are women, with 156 confirmed deaths, while men are 152. The highest number of deaths are people aged 80 or over (82 deaths), followed by 70 to 79 years (67 deaths) and 60 to 69 (48 deaths).
The administrative region with the most deaths is Ceilândia, with 49 deaths, followed by Samambaia (37), Taguatinga (22), Gama (18) and Guará (18). The department investigates 57 deaths.
The numbers released by the ministry are almost similar to those reported daily by the Ministry of Health, also this Monday (6/5). According to the ministry, there are 309 deaths from the disease — 60 under investigation — and 245,057 probable cases of dengue.
