In addition to the decrease in the total number of violent deaths occurring in Rio Grande do Norte (-13.2%), the State Government is also managing to reduce crimes against property. In the four months, there was a drop in the total number of robberies from commercial establishments, a reduction in robberies from residences and fewer robberies from people on public roads.
In absolute numbers, the total number of robberies against commercial establishments fell from 313 incidents registered in the first four months of 2023 to 276 in the first four months of this year, which means a reduction of 11.8%. In the same period, the total number of residential robberies fell from 313 to 262, a drop of 16.3%. As for robberies against people on public roads, the decrease was 7.6%.

It is important to highlight that the data above was recorded and consolidated by the Coordination of Statistical Information and Criminal Analysis of the Secretariat of Public Security and Social Defense of RN (SESED/RN). After the process, COINE passes the information to the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) and the State Public Ministry (MPRN).
