The 47th edition of the Amazonas University Games (JUAs) has kicked off and the competitions have already started in full force. On Saturday (4), athletes from 12 higher education institutions in the state participated in the opening of the competition, which took place at the Vila Olímpica de Manaus, located in the Dom Pedro neighborhood, in the center-west zone of the capital.
Approximately 700 participants, including athletes, coaches and managers, will be present at the competition. For the president of Faud, Lilian Valente, this number is an achievement.
“It is very gratifying to be able to see the growth of university sports, mainly due to the number of participants, which has increased with each edition. This advancement involves many others and generates benefits for the entire academic community, so I can only thank you for all the support from the athletes, institutions and partners in university sports. This is an achievement for all of us”, highlighted the president.
