Who are the deaths caused by the rains in RS and where did they occur?

As of this Sunday morning (5), the government of Rio Grande do Sul had confirmed 66 deaths as a result of the rains in the state. Another six are still under investigation to determine whether they are related to the meteorological events.

Most of the deaths occurred in Serra Gaúcha and Vale do Taquari, according to information from the g1. In addition to the dead, 101 people are missing and 155 are injured.

Valleys Region

Pantano Grande (1)

Nercio Giovane Silveira Farias, 60 years old, suffered an electrical shock when trying to turn off a circuit breaker.

Enchanted (1)

A woman identified as Josiane Machado, aged 45, was found dead. She was the victim of a landslide.

Paverama (2)

Delmar Waldomiro Sander, 69, and Nelson Scheffer, 61, both retired, were in a car swept away by floods on Tuesday (30).

Putinga (1)

Mário José Forti, 44 years old, died after a landslide that covered the house where he was staying.

Santa Cruz do Sul (4)

An elderly woman was found dead on Wednesday (1st). In addition to her, a couple was found dead in the town of Rio Pardinho. Civil Defense also confirmed a fourth death. The identities of the victims were not revealed.

Candelaria (1)

Olandina Bartz, 90 years old, was found dead in a flooded area of ​​the city.

Secret (1)

Alzemar Foster, 63, who was in a car trying to cross a flooded area, died in the city.

Three Crowns (3)

Civil Defense confirmed that the deaths occurred, but did not disclose identities or details of how they happened.

Vera Cruz (1)

Civil Defense confirmed a death, but did not inform the identity or how it occurred.

Porto Alegre Metropolitan Region

Salvador do Sul (2)

One person died after a landslide destroyed homes. She has not yet been identified. Civil Defense confirmed another death in the city, but did not release details.

Taquara (2)

Two people died in the city after a landslide, according to city hall. The victims are two elderly people who lived in a washed-out property. Their identities have not been released.

Central region

Itaara (1)

Eliziane Milani Buss, 47 years old, victim of a landslide, was found dead.

Pinhal Grande (1)

The body of a woman was found inside the city by the Civil Police. Her identity has not been released.

Silveira Martins (1)

Olide Brondani, aged 85, died as a result of a landslide that hit her house.

Santa Maria (5)

Teenager Emily Ulguin da Rocha, aged 17, and her mother, Liane Ulguin da Rocha, aged 45, died after the house they were staying in was hit by a rock in the Itararé neighborhood on May 1st. Three other deaths were confirmed by the Civil Police: a couple and a child who were missing were found dead.

São João do Polêsine (1)

Civil Defense confirmed the death of a 15-year-old teenager. Her name was not released. According to the city hall, her house was hit by a landslide.

Serra Region

Boa Vista do Sul (2)

The couple Paloma Melo da Silva, 25, and Andrigo Oliveira de Ávila, also 25, died while returning from work. The car they were in was hit by a landslide inside the city on Wednesday (1st).

Serafina Corrêa (2)

The body of a man, identified as Juan Dalcon Barrios, aged 31, was found in a flooded street on Wednesday (1st). The body of a buried man was also located. He was identified as Ipidio Capra, 55 years old, according to the city hall.

Bento Gonçalves (4)

Luiz Carlos Schutkovski’s body was found on Thursday (2). The elderly man was 71 years old and was sleeping when there was a landslide that hit the house where he lived with his wife, in the Vale Aurora region, in the interior of the city.

Artemio Cobalchini, 72 years old, and Ivonete Cobalchini, 62, were found dead on Friday (3) on the family property, in the interior of Bento Gonçalves.

In addition to them, a woman was also found dead, but her identity was not disclosed.

Five people died after landslides in Linha Pedras Brancas, in the interior of the city. Three victims were identified as Kaique Andriel Ludvig Santos, aged 13, Nitiele Ludvig, aged 36, and Silvio Antônio Pellicioli, aged 47. Two others were not identified.

Noeli da Rosa Duarte, aged 56, also died due to a landslide on the Quilombo Line.

Cinnamon (2)

The bodies of José Alzemiro de Moraes and Marina de Brito de Moraes were found amid the rubble of a house that was swept away by a landslide in the town of Rancho Grande, in the interior of the city.

Caxias do Sul (4)

A 53-year-old man was found dead in the city. He was in a house that was buried due to a landslide. He was identified as Leandro Fortes Carvalho.

Three people were found dead in the town of Galópolis on Friday (3). The victims were with a group that disappeared after a landslide that hit four houses on Thursday (2). Identities have not been confirmed.

Saint Wendelin (2)

The Fire Department located the body of José Adair Oliveira, aged 47, and his son, Wagner Oliveira, aged 22, who disappeared after a landslide on Tuesday (30).
