An exchange of gunfire between criminals left a 20-year-old young man shot on Friday night (03), on Avenida Ivan Borges Porto, in the Jardim Centro neighborhood in Patos de Minas. He was shot in the chest.
During the investigation, the police went to the home of a 22-year-old boy, who was with the victim at the time of the crime. He reported that he was on the back of the victim’s motorcycle when another Honda motorcycle, red, approached and the pillion started shooting at them, with the driver being hit in the chest. Armed with a revolver, the young man began to return fire and the driver managed to drive the motorcycle away to escape.
The police searched the house where this 22-year-old man was staying and found a 32-caliber revolver with no ammunition inside a holster.
Also, during the investigation, the police went to the house where the victim was rescued. The police searched the property and found a charger and a .380 caliber pistol. The owner of the house, a 30-year-old man, was arrested and reported that the weapon belonged to the victim, who denied the facts at the hospital.
The police also went to the house of the suspect in the shooting that hit the victim, but he was not found.
As a result of the incident, the two individuals, aged 22 and 30, were taken to the Civil Police station. The victim underwent surgery and remains hospitalized at the Antônio Dias Regional Hospital (HRAD).
