In order to optimize judicial provision, the Court of Justice of the State of Bahia (TJ-BA) institutes, from the 17th to the 21st of June and from the 16th to the 20th of September, the Weeks of Sentences and Procedural Dismissals. Signed by the president of TJ-BA, judge Cynthia Maria Pina Resende; by the General Inspector of Justice, Judge Roberto Maynard Frank; and by the magistrate of the Interior Districts, judge Pilar Célia Tobio de Claro, the act aims to reduce the rate of case congestion, in accordance with the National Goals of the National Council of Justice (CNJ).

During the established weeks, the sitting, auxiliary or substitute judges must prioritize the judgment of cases relating to Goal 2 of the CNJ, especially those distributed until December 31, 2013, also promoting the issuance of permits and the procedural dismissal of other cases. . The joint efforts will be carried out by all employees of the judicial units, under the supervision of the judges of the Courts and districts.

To ensure compliance with the action, public service and procedural deadlines are suspended in all First Degree judicial units, in Special Courts and in Appeal Panels, on the established days, without prejudice to the hearings and sessions already designated and of emergency activities.

The number of cases sentenced and downloaded during the weeks will be monitored by a specific system and published daily on the TJ-BA website. The rule also applies to Appeal Panels, Chamber Secretaries, the Full Court and the Appeals Section Secretariat.
